2023-24 Provisional Data
Phonics
96% of children met the expected standard in phonics
We are particularly pleased to see our phonics scores remain above national average and in the top 10% nationally for a third year. This reflects the impact of our work.
We are also particularly pleased that 100% of our disadvantaged children met the expected standard.
Key Stage 1
Key Stage 1 data is no longer reported. However, we are pleased to see that our in-house data shows that our Year 2 children remain either in line or above the national outcomes.
Multiplication Tables Check
31% of children scored 25 out of 25 in the MTC.
The average score for each child was 19.2
We are pleased to see that this is a 10% increase on the previous year and has significantly closed the gap to national outcomes.
Key Stage 2
Reading – 73% of children meeting the expected standard
Writing – 71% of children meeting the expected standard
Maths – 64% of children meeting the expected standard
We are thrilled to see that the data in KS2 has risen across the board. In particular we are pleased to see that reading and GPS have jumped considerably, closing the gap to results nationally. Maths remains our lowest subject and remains a focus for school improvement.
Our disadvantaged pupils also performed very strongly in KS2, with outcomes in reading, writing and combined all sitting above outcomes nationally.
Pupils with SEND scored significantly higher than national outcomes across all areas of the curriculum
Use the document below to see how the wonderful children at Moorlands have closed the gap to pupils nationally and outperformed pupils in Norfolk in almost every area of study.
